kauu baru primary school~
It was about me and
Atiqa yesterday, 21 July 2007. We were having a Malay
Dance competition in
Cheng San CC, Ang Mo Kio.
We, the malay
dancers, were asked by Mdm
Noreen to go Cheng San CC ourselves by taking MRT. We
were supposed to meet
in front of guardian at 9.30 am. Unfortunately, I woke up
late. I waited for
the bus until 10 am. Then, I received a phone call from the
Malay Dance
president, Aini. I answered the call and explained to her. She asked
me to
hurry because we’re late.
I left no choice and took the taxi
using
the $10 my mother gave early in the morning. The journey spent was $4.20.
I
reached the MRT station and topped up $5 for my ez-link. Then, off we went. We
took the Tampines MRT to City Hall MRT then poofed! we took the opposite
train
to Ang Mo Kio. We reached our destination and walked until we reach
Cheng San
CC. we waited for Mdm Noreen outside the CC and then practiced
our, not really
our, because I am a reserve, marking position on the CC
stage. Then off we went
to change for the dance.
Blahblahblah it
went on and on until the
show started. The host were Shah Iskandar and don’t
know who. We were K10, one
of last show! I got lazy and lazier. Then the
show ended. I went to meet other
malay dancers to comfort them for the later
results. But I met Atiqa first. I
said all the best for later results.
The part has come, the most
suspending part. THE RESULTS!
Fortunately, we didn’t get the consolation prize.
But we got the best
choreographing! Then came the first, second and third
winner. Shah and
company started off with the third. They were our roommate!
Don’t know
what’s the name of the school. Then, the jumped off to the first.
East
Spring teachers, student and supporters heart started to thump fast. And
the
winner is …
EAST SPRING SECONDARY! All of us stood up and clapped. I was
proud of Atiqa. She didn’t forget my advice! Snaps everywhere! I hugged
Atiqa so
tight. Tears of happiness, wet my cheeks. I was overjoyed! Second
prize went to
Changkat Changi.
It was an unforgettable moment. We went
to the room and
changed. Me, and my senior, Dhabitah stood outside the
corridor. Then came Shah.
He smiled at both us. Aww! My heart melted. We
both took pictures with him!
Lalala! I LOVE HIM! Friendly la! The malay
dancers invited me to follow them
watch the fireworks at City Hall.
Unfortunately, I can’t. Atiqa knew why. But
she kept on begging me to
follow. That was when it started. I thought she was
understanding and all. I
thought she would accompany me back home as I do not
know the way back. She
followed. I was very angry. And I talked back! “yelaa.
Aku tau kau tknk ikot
aku. Kan dah famous dapat trophy. Tkyah kluar ngan aku
laa. Okay? Kau mane
ade ingat aku tolong kau.” Then I walked away. Now, tears of
sadness fell.
It was the end as I went back home, alone. She didn’t even come to
say
goodbye.
